• The KS9500 is the curved model while the KS9000 is flat. They are identical internally and they do not have a full array back light. They are both edge lit with local dimming which is the "smart led" function in the settings menu.

• Hey there Love2160p! Both the ks9000 and ks9500 series have Edge-lit LED backlighting. However for local dimming the ks9000 has the Contrast Enhancer feature and the ks9500 has the Auto Depth Enhancer feature. Hope this information helps! ^Cole
