“How can I find out if the VESA Wall Mount Standard 400mm x 400mm for this TV will fit my existing wall mount? It currently has a Sony Brava 55 inch TV mounted and I am unable to see the mount. Installer stated the mount was meant for a 70" TV.”

Unless your mount is really old most if not all mounts today are capable of a range of VESA specifications, from 200mmx200mm all the way up to 800.
