While the TV does have what Samsung calls HDR Premium it will not be a true HDR-10 or Dolby Vision or some other true HDR format. The panel does not have the ability to get bright enough to qualify for those standards. With that being said the TV will still display HDR content just not in the content's native HDR color spec. Imagine it's like watching a 1080p single on a 720p TV, the image will still display but won't be full HD.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just bought this TV, and it was sold to me as "kind of having" HDR. Not sure if that really means anything other than it is not 100% HDR. I wish I could explain it better, but go to avsforum.com, and they have a thread on it. Still a great TV, but if HDR is important to you, look into it further.
