• You do not need one, however, I purchased the Samsung sound bar (the middle of the three sizes sold) for $179. It was well worth the purchase - it really adds to the volume of the sound in the room and makes the watching experience for movies and games and shows all the better.

• If you are using it as your primary home theater screen, then yes you should enhance the sound. If this is a secondary TV for your home (sitting room, bedroom) then I don't think a sound bar is necessary.
