Is the 9000 version the same as the 8500? What is the difference? null

The 9000 series is the next tier up from the 8000 series and I believe the highest Samsung tier. I reviewed both the 8000 and 9000 series on line, checking the ratings, reviews and available literature as well as going to Best Buy and viewing both of them. In my opinion the difference in cost did not justify the purchase of the 9000 over the 8000. I am very happy with my 8500 (curved screen model of the 8000 series) . I hope this was useful.

The 9000 equivalent of the 8500 is the 9500 (Curve). Basically, the 9000 series have "better" design of the stand, the back of the tv looks more premium and better speakers. Picture quality has been tested to be the same.

It is my understanding that the 9000 series is the tier above the 8000 series. The 8000 and 9000 are flat, 8500 and 9500 are curved.

As far as I saw in the comparison it was just the speaker had more watts in the 9000
