• no i think only in standard and movie mode and yes a hdr symbol indicates its on then goes away

• When the display option is set to auto, the TV will automatically adjust to the proper parameters. You can tell when a broadcast channel is not HD when it doesn't fill the entire screen. If you want the non HDR channel to fit the entire screen you will have to manually change the view to fit the screen.
