Hi Glfwrvet69, this greatly depends on your environmental conditions. Be sure to contact an authorized Samsung service center for information if you intend to install your TV in a location with heavy dust, high or low temperatures, high humidity, etc. The operating temperature is between 50 degrees F - 104 degrees F. Operating humidity is between 10% - 80%. Storage temperature ranges between -4 degrees F to 103 degrees F. Outside conditions falling outside these ranges may lead to serious damage to your TV. ^Val

Humid conditions can create condensation and oxidization on electrical devices so you want to be sure it's safe especially if there are kids running around after swimming you don't want them touching anything plugged in with dripping hands or bathing suits on. You never know. A child in our neighbor hood was electrocuted because of decorative party lights that were plugged into an outlet by hanging onto the metal poles of the patio awning the lights were clipped onto.
