In most cases, you can use your existing HDMI cables. Most reasonable cables (not from a $ store) will likely work. Sure, they'll try to sell you a $30 cable, but I'm using $10 ones that are > 5 yrs. old, between my UltraHD BluRay and the new 4K TV, and it works fine. With 'digital'...it either works, or doesn't. Easy to try it and see. No damage possible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe the amount of data transferred in a 4K UHD SmartTV needs a higher capacity HDMI cable to be used for the optimum picture quality. If the TV is internet capable as well, you are transferring data as well as video, so a higher capacity cable would seem to make sense. I hope this helps.
