How is it that you connect a DVD player to the tv? null

You know, that was the same question I asked myself minutes before the delivery of this unit. Unless you DVD Player can be connected via HDMI, you will experience an issue. The solution to that issue is, you can purchase a Component (RGB) to HDMI converter. If your DVD Player only has a video out jack (Yellow), you'll have to Google, Composite to HDMI converter.

This TV only has HDMI inputs. So if you're using an older DVD player that doesn't have an HDMI output, you'll have to get something like an RCA to HDMI converter box.
