The 8500 model uses smart technology so all inputs go directly into the TV. The controller is really small and has limited buttons. There are a few options when it comes to changing channels. There is a toggle switch for channel up/down and if you press it in, it will open up the guide. Using the voice control technology, you can just hold the Mic button and say the channel/station/device you want to switch to. For example, if I’m watching TV, I can just say “Playstation” and it will switch over to my PS4.
