  • QuestionWhat is the life expectancy of this TV.

    Asked by Johnboy.

    • Answer The salesman said it is about 5 years calculated on usage of 4 hours per day. He said the LED components will start to burn out similar to a LED bulb used in your home. He said the picture will eventually start to lose its contrast as they start burning out. I did read that some older LED Samsung TVS were rated at 100,000 hours. I still own a plasma TV that was purchased 12 years ago and the picture still looks like the day I bought it. You may try calling Samsung to see if there is anything in their specs Good Luck,

  • QuestionI saw something concerning the motion rate of 240 but what is this tv’s true refreshing rate.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Xbox one plays at 60fps, Xbox one x can play up to 60fps, all gamer computers have 144hz monitors As anything past that your eyes cannot see, Att and Comcast are streamed into your house at 30fps along with most movies. All the hz level does is effect how fast it flashes a second, 120hz is perfect with 240hz motion rate. If you have been using a 120hz tv unless it’s rated at that you have been viewing about 60hz the entire time you have owned the tv. My old vizio tv was 120hz and ran and looked beautiful the only thing I noticed was I had a e series which effects the black to color area loading rate and in some movies you may notice it. No tv is a actually 240hz. Every tv company lies about it. At at least Samsung posts 240hz motion rate instead of 240. So i would say it is but it isn’t. The quality of the picture past 120hz is based on the computer and other components of the tv. Like my tv has 12 active zones the new vizio p series is over 100 which limits the chances of seeing any issues and also doesn’t stress the tv out which makes them last longer. Don’t be fooled and waste your money on some fancy 240hz tv as your eyes cannot physically see past 140 ish. Refresh rate is based on the screen size. As just like vw lies on there exhaust emissions tv companies lie about the refresh rate. Look for active led zone lighting and hdr and other color and fine tuning ehancements in how a tv will look not on the 240hz crap these companies have u believing. When u go see a movie at a theater those screens don’t got past 30fps aka 30hz it’s all on the computer.

  • QuestionIs there any difference with picture quality/sound etc, with 65" NU8000 compared with MU8000. I noticed the stand is different. Is one a newer model? Thanks.

    Asked by Jim18.

    • Answer Yes there is a lot of differences. Old model did not feature freeesync which is great for games if you play Xbox as they use amd. Also has about 100 light nits less. All of the 2017 models are garbage. 18 besides the q8 or q9 suck. I have a 65nu8000 and the specs listed to what you get is not even close. User interface is even bigger pain. Has decent speakers tho
