The picture quality is much better then the q6 or the Q7 and considerably better than the Q8 you really can't go wrong it's not quite equal to the OLED but extremely close and the reliability is going to be much better as I my self owned a OLED TV and it's broke down on me after 3 years good luck and enjoy the holidays
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To be honest, I was in the same dilemma as you. I purchased the Q6 back in September, sold it to my cousin, and then I purchased the Q9 in December. Yes, the picture quality is definitely better with much deeper blacks, and I love anti-reflective display. However, I prefer the audio on the Q6. The Q9 has a "wider" sound, but the bass isn't as heavy from the two subwoofers in contrast to the heavier bass from the one subwoofer on the Q6. Overall I still love the Q9, and it so much easier to install using the One Connect box that connects all cables and provides power and connection to the TV. Things are a lot neater where my TV is currently located. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I upgraded from the Q6fn to the Q9fn and to answer your question is the money worth the upgrade.. If money is a big issue to you then no it is not worth the upgrade because the q6fn is solid for the price and has samsungs great contrast enhancer.and it has decently black bars. For the price of one Q9fn you can almost buy 3 Q6fn... But if money is not a big deal and you were to upgrade to the Q9fn let me tell you that the Q9fn is amazing the hdr and local dimming is insane and you would not regret it. I dont regret my upgrade not one bit. Just be sure to get extended warranty just in case. You dont want your $3000 to die a couple days after samsungs 1 year warranty (it happend to my samsung KS8500. But the Q6fn is solid.
