Helps eliminate wrinkles uses cold water line to steam dry. It's an added function that you can use near the end of your normal dry function. You do not need to use the steam function or have the cold water line hooked up, as long as you don't want to use the steam function.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. One of the most common is a steam refresh cycle. This cycle adds moisture and heat to the clothes left in the dryer too long. At the end of the cycle, the dryer runs at a lower temperature to help release wrinkles. Dryers with steam will cost more than the dryers without steam within the same brand, but really save the hassle of ironing either a huge load or a favorite shirt before a night out.

The manufacturer provides a y or v part that allows you to run a hose to the dryer off of the washer hose. The steam has worked pretty well to remove wrinkles, however, the Samsung dyer uses steam for many of the cycles, which I don't think are necessary. Probably would not purchase a dryer with the steam function again as I don't think it's worth the extra money.
