“I don't understand dryer steam function. Is there a hose that drains to a plumbing line that has to be installed? Would I be able to install the line later and not use the steam function?”

There is no drain hose, there is not enough liquid that would require a drain. The drying function provides sufficient evaporative evacuation so that a drain is not necessary.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a splitter valve available to get water to the dryer from the same spigot that feeds hot water to the washer. The valve came with the hose kit I bought with the washer / dryer. Any moisture in the dryer dissipates through the same path as water removed from clothes - in the air expelled through the exhaust vent.
