Yes it will work as long as you have an m.2 slot on your motherboard. I swapped out the optane memory board to do this on my dell desktop

But many people are buying PCIE slot adapters for the vacant slots in their motherboards, and the better ones of them will let you use either a SATA or NVME card in them. Be sure to check your specs closely so all will play nice!
