Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the range is truly 20 amps then the male end of the cord will have a sideways terminal instead of two straight terminals. The 20 amp receptacle is set up for both. So if you have a 15 amp outlet and this needs a 20 then a new outlet will need to be installed in the home. If the breaker is 20 amps them only the outlet will need to be changed. If it is a 15 amp breaker then the wire may need to be upgraded. A 20 amp breaker requires 12 gauge wire for safety.
