Hi there, No, it doesn't need a special wall plug as long as it follows the power/rating requirement of 240V/ 60Hz/ 40A. Please try again later.its 240, so yes. but there are a couple of different kinds, if you get BB to install it they'll charge you for the plug (its extra and normal) and they'll bring the two kinds that it could be. but if your space isn't wired for 240 you'll need and electrician to come first
