Does the built-in software get updated? null

For a while, yes. However, I would request a guarantee for updates for the life of the product. I paid big bucks for top of the line, latest tech on my Samsung fridge. Wifi, apps, touchscreen. The fridge works fine but the apps no longer work. Contacted weatherbug, google, news, they all said the same thing, that it is the responsibility of the appliance maker to keep the software current. Samsung stopped updating the software and none of those apps work anymore.

Hello! Just like a phone or a tablet, the fridge's Family Hub panel needs software updates. The Family Hub panel gets periodic software updates so new features can be added or bugs can be fixed. ^Lena
