The Galaxy Tab S6 is an Android tablet. This is a Chrome OS device, which while quite different has the capability to also run Android apps (as well as Linus, if you choose to go that route). I think that makes the feature profile of the Chromebook more robust than the tablet. In favor of the Chromebook: - I would suspect that the Chrome OS would give you a longer device lifetime (8 years to EOL), if that is one of the factors that helps you decide which to purchase. - the 10th gen i5 CPU is incredibly powerful and fast In favor of the Tab S6: - I've read good things about the Tab S6 and considered it. The S6 has Samsung Dex which helps it to seem like you are using a laptop. - if you can use your the apps available on your Android phone to do ALL of your work (or do all of whatever you want), then you'd probably be fine with this tablet (essentially a giant phone) since you can get pen and keyboard to round out its features. - much better battery life! - a little less expensive than the SGC
