“In October I bought the same phone except it is 128GB. And I believe it runs off Android 10 or 11 version. I was told by AT&T that it was NOT compatible with their service. Now I see it is compatible in the 32GB. Does that mean the A12 128 GB is now too”

Phones are designed for individual networks unless they are "Unlocked." If you purchased an Unlocked version of the A12, then it should work on AT&T. If you purchased a specific carrier version such as Verizon then it will not work on AT&T's network.
