Hello, when buying this unlocked phone you can choose the option of activating it thru your carrier, but this is only if you wanna save yourself $50 dollars, other wise the price of the phone on a straight buy without activation is around $199 or so, but you'll be tide to a contract, me personally choose the paying full price on put on there my own Sim card wich in the long run is better savings, I use this phone with cricket wireless and telcel no problem!
