“Is this the 2016, or the 2018 A6? Also, it says it is unlocked under "carrier", but under "features" it says it's not unlocked. What does that mean?”

It's a 2018 A6, but you should call Best Buy online to confirm that. Unlocked means it's unlocked to any GSM phone carrier (in this case). GSM carriers are AT&T, T-Mobile, Metro PCs. CDMA carriers are Verizon, Sprint, Boost some phones are unlocked to these carriers. Most phones work with GSM or CDMA not both, although there are a few companies who make their phones compatible with both networks. This one doesn't, it's only GSM..
