“What happens when one bud doesn't connect to Bluetooth?it's charging in the case but it isn't able to be discovered by the phone via bt ? I've reset, charged it, re downloaded the app, re-paired and everything”

If its charging in the case it will not be discoverable. Put both back in the case make sure they are charged and then pull them out and you'll be able to connect
