• You can adjust the volume by taps but not very precise. Kind of a hassle actually. As for reading texts and the like, you can check this on your phone's settings. I am not 100% sure but I think you have to find handsfree settings or something like that to get that feature to work.

• The default setting it just says "Text Message" and that's it. But in the settings you can have them read it to you
