You answer the call via your phone or I believe there is an option where you can touch the earbuds instead. Not sure of a precise distance, but you can definitely walk across a large room and be fine. I probably wouldn't push it more than 25ft or so. They charge via USB so you can plug it into any USB port.

Tap the side of the right earbud twice,
It can reach about 35' max, and they charge either with a usb-c cable, or a wireless dock
