That is only if you purchase the phone directly from Samsung.

I too was affected. I checked the Samsung website, *they have a special one for Note 7 people,. Short answer, depends on the phone you have now. for MOST the answer is NO. I am extremely disappointed and am now thinking about other manufactures. I loved the Note 7, I waited for the Note 8, But Samsung has used all of its good will with me. Not Happy.
