With new phones coming out every 6 to 12 months, its hard to keep up. So far, this Note 8 has been great. When I travel, I can do most of my work on the phone which saves me a lot of time. The camera is awesome. Took beautiful pics at the Grand Canyon. Overall, it has served me well and I would recommend.

I use this phone in many situations. I look up information, I watch movies and the news, I use it at work for presentations, and my niece can easily navigate it as well.

The phone is great. I am still figuring things out. The phone is fast even when using LTE. The S pen screen off note taking is great for taking quick notes without having to unlock the phone and open the app. Bixby is pretty cool but, as others have noted the button is too close to the volume control. The camera is great.I use the entertainment mode which provides full screen resolution and audio. I have yet to have the battery run empty through the course of the day. My only complaint is that if I have the phone in my pocket with the screen facing my leg I've downloaded apps and opened apps and web pages without even knowing it. The other complaint doesn't have to do with the phone it concerns Best Buy itself. When I purchased the phone I was supposed to receive a $25.00 reward certificate. I'm still waiting for it. I will be contacting Best Buy to see what the problem is.

I bought this phone from the Best buy website in Deepsea Blue. I've wanted a Note for years, and I finally took the leap. As a professional artist, I was looking forward to the s pen, but worried I'd miss features I had gotten used to on my LG G4 (like app pairing, layering, manual camera modes with macro, white balance, etc). I was also comparing this phone to the LG V30, which shoots in modes my brother uses in his work on movie and tv sets. My big concerns were productivity, creative functionality, and, of course, battery life. I'm so glad I took a chance on this phone (in this color! Hey- color matters to me). I got the things I loved most about my LG and more. The camera is awesome, and though I couldn't find the info in any of the reviews I read and watched (they all focused on the dual camera and auto modes), this phone DOES have a pro mode with ISO, white balance, macro, etc.. It also has voice activated shutter and video shooting modes.
I got new tools that help me multitask with ease. S pen translate, glance, Bixby, and more help me manage online stores, edit text and images, and social accounts on the go. I'm not as chained to my computer with this phone. I love that.
I'd be lying if I said the phone was 100% flawless, so in the name of balance, I will share that I have encountered occasional lag. Not enough to worry me (or pry it out of my hands), but if I recommended this phone to a friend, I would tell them this. Can't really think of much else, and I'm trying to find something to complain about... Oh- I will say that I believe the Bixby AI, though very cool, may be interfering with Google voice on my unit. I've tried looking around online, and seen that other folks are having the same issue. I think there's a workaround that fixes it, but I haven't found it yet. Google voice search works, but I have to tap it to wake it up. For reference, my brother bought his Note 8 a few days before me, he uses both Bixby and Google, and he hasn't had a problem with activating Google search with his voice. Again, not enough to turn me off this device.
Battery life has been good, though not as insane as the first few charges, which lasted for DAYS, but really, the first few days I was still spending half my time on my old phone, so screen on time was less. I don't game, but I do spend a lot of time scrolling, writing, reading, editing, etc.
I'm a woman with medium sized hands, and though the length of this phone concerned me, with the button placement on the back, I'm getting accustomed to it. It helped to put a Popsocket on my case.
Overall I'd have to agree with my brother. Best phone I've ever owned.

The note 8 has everything. Quick response, large and beautiful screen, plenty of storage space, awesome camera, retina and finger print scanner, s pen features are great too. The one drawback is the hefty pricetag. Make sure you find it on sale.

Best phone ever! My wife and kids have Apple products. It was really difficult to explain to them why I'm sticking with the Google platform. So, here's my case: bigger, better screen / faster processor / better price / awesome color (blue) / more apps than you can think of / great battery (there, I said it) because I can go two days of heavy use on one charge.

Originally I bought it on Friday, December 1st. It was $100 off of the price of the phone with the installment plan via Sprint. I wanted the phone, and any money off is good money right? Right. So I get the phone. I ask the guy, what if it goes on sale really soon? Can I get the price difference? He said I can, but I'd have to return the phone, and get a different one to get it at the new sale price and pay $35 restocking fee. (This was what I had read everywhere online as well.) So low and behold, Sunday, December 3rd, phone is now $300 off! Obviously worth paying the $35 fee! So I go down there, make sure I have all my accounts (Samsung and Google backed up. All pics moved to my SD card so I don't have to worry about those. I have SMS Backups take care of all my texts and phone logs.) trade in the phone with no problems and get the new one at the $300 off. The best buy I took it to was amazing.
Now on to the phone. Seriously, amazing. It doesn't really feel that big when you are holding it compared to my s7 edge that I had before. The s-pen is amazing to write with. But the screen is larger, and honestly, even though it is slightly curved, I still think it is less curved than the s7 edge and I liked that. Definitely worth it. The extra ram makes my phone go so fast. I really have to remember to close apps (just because they drain battery power) the phone itself has no problem having a million different apps open. This phone does so much though you really do need to watch videos from youtube to get the gist of it all. (Like SakiTech's video. 200+ tips/tricks for the Note 8.) Anyway, best phone. Pretty sure I've made the conversion for life. Now I'm in the Note family, don't think I can go back to the S family. Sorry guys ;)

I got the Note 8 as a gift for myself. I'm coming from a Galaxy S7 Edge and although I loved that phone, the Note 8 is just so much better! The size of the screen and the stylus were deal breakers for me. Takes awesome photos as well.

Phone of Year!

This is by far the most capable phone of the year. From the stylus which provide smooth writing input and very unique features, To the screen that is easily the best screen on any phone to date. The note8 has one of the best cameras on a phone with feature such as portrait and after the shot focus modes that are very precise make for taking beautiful pictures. While the rear fingerprint sensor could be place better it is very fast. Plus you have face unlock which is really fast and iris unlock for more secure tasks like Samsung pay. The Note8 is a sure winner from Samsung and greatly exceeds my expectations.

I originally had gotten the note7 but hand to return it because of the whole recall situation and switch to the s7 edge. Which was really sad, so when I saw the note8 being released I had to get it. I am not disappointed at all, still pretty similar to note7. I love the speed, size, and the camera. It's very smooth switching through applications.

This is the best smart phone ever made. 64 GB instead of 32 means you never have to delete apps for lack of storage space. Huge screen, it is a rounded edge for to increase the screen size even more. The camera is wonderful and the two lenses gives photos a three dimensional effect. The stylus makes handwriting very easy. It is fabulous.

First of all the color is absolutely gorgeous and just girlie enough. At first I had huge anxiety about this purchase coming from an iPhone 7 Plus and the whole Apple iOS ecosystem. However soon enough I found myself falling in love with all the features of this awesome device like Bixby, Google Assistant, and Google Maps, yes even maps! This phone holds a great charge and the S Pen is very fun! Its so worth the investment and the sale price I caught! Best Buy is great with sales for sure!

I've had this phone for 2-3 weeks now, and have had absolutely no issues with it. I wasn't sure about the S-pen, but love this feature the most. It allows me to keep the phone farther from my face and it allows me to navigate quicker. No more battery issues (like I was having with the S4). I'm also a huge fan of being able to take notes while my screen is locked and saving them. Such a handy till! So glad I got this phone!

Hands down the best Galaxy Note to date. Previous Note owners will appreciate the amazing screen and the ability to do more with the S pen. If new to Android or this series of phones, there’s a slight learning curve. However, the OS is very intuitive and this is a very powerful device. One wish for the next one, at least a 4000mah battery. With a device this big, there’s no excuse for such a small battery.

This was for my 19 year old son, so I am just the messenger. He said “ it doesn’t get better than thi.” He states that the processing is extremely fast, the picture quality when watching movies, playing games and taking pictures is amazing. He is glad he waited to upgrade to this model and he thinks the Samsung beats the IPhone any day. He would recommend this, and because he is happy, I am happy.
