• Sometimes you can get away with swapping sim cards, depends on brand and vintage, every so often they change things up but so far I think I have run the same sim from my Note 4 to my S8+ and it's now in my S10+, don't know if there is any downside to that yet. But I know that at@t can swap numbers as needed.

• This all depends on your phone and your carrier. Try taking your phone to your CARRIER outlet or store and have them check. SIM card sizes vary from phone to phone. Outlet employees are trained to assist you with data transfers, not Best Buy.
