“How does the insurance work for this phone? I currently have Verizon Wireless and I purchased insurance for my phone. When I buy a new phone through Best Buy how does this work? Do I purchase the insurance through Best Buy or Verizon? Also, if anything happens to my new phone do I report it to Best Buy or Verizon?”

You can buy insurance through either best buy or verizon. You report it to whichever company you buy it through

If so, when you buy your new phone at Best Buy your Verizon insurance will transfer to your new phone and you don't need the Best Buy insurance. This scenerio you report issues to Verizon. If you do not have insurance through Verizon and you decide to buy it through Best Buy, in this scenerio you would take it back to your local Best Buy for repair or replacement.

Only thing is if you want the Verizon insurance you need to call Verizon again. If you get the BB insurance you go to your local BB and if you get it from Verizon you call Verizon to make a claim.

Please try again later.If you have Verizon's Asurion insurance on your current phone, you automatically get enrolled for your new phone, but you should be able to tell them to not do so if you desire. The insurance is provided by Verizon, so you go to them for problems if you break it, not Best Buy. Note that the Asurion price may be different - mine changed from something like $7 to $9.
