Can I purchase this phone for full price & then use with a prepaid plan? I spoke with an ATT retailer who advised they do not sell any smartphones Samsung Galaxy S6 without a contract but I could purchase this phone from Best Buy & they would be able to utilize a sim card for the prepaid monthly plan.

Yes - as long as you are using an at&t SIM. S6 can also be SIM unlocked (either through at&t - for which they will typically ask you to maintain a subscription for period of time (usually not more than 60 days) - or through an online service for $10-$20).

Yes, you can! I just did about a month ago. Previously, I was under the assumption that this was not possible. But, it turns out that it is. Thanx to Cheyenne at the Pottstown Best Buy I was able to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S6, 32GB model, for full price and activate it with AT&T's no contact Go Phone Plan for $60 a month.

AT&T is in the wrong by telling you that you cannot purchase the phone w/o a contract. They, including Best Buy, can sell the phone to you w/o a contract, but you will have to purchase the phone outright. Meaning you'd have to pay the purchase price of the phone, whatever it may be. You would be looking at several hundred dollars.
