Prior phone was HTC One. Loved the stereo speakers. Found audio to be limited on the S6. The mic is on bottom edge so you have to be careful how you hold the phone if you want to be heard clearly. Camera and camera features are GREAT. Apps are plentiful. I don't like the button configurations - HTC one was much more intuitive. Screen locking/unlocking is aggravating. HTC One was better. Wireless charger accessory is great - keeps you from wearing out the usb port connection. Battery life is good in standard mode and there are options/apps to extend the day's charge. It's a phone.

Pros: fast processor, charges fast with a nice screen resolution, takes good pictures and images pop up on 3K screen. Con: not worth if you upgrade from s5 to s6. No removable battery and no external SD card. Tales only 5 min of 4K videos wit no image stabilization. Upgraded this phone to take 4k video to watch on my 4k samsung tv. The reason to buy was best buy 250 gift card. Samsung offered me 50.00 best buy card for adding a card to samsung pay app. Plus I got a headphone, wireless charger and battery pack charger from Samsung as promotion offer. this is the only reason for my upgrade.

This phone is hands down awesome! The first thing I have to point out is that it is blazing fast! Virtually no lag whatsoever. Secondly, the screen resolution is in a class all it's own. Images are absolutely beautiful. Colors are rich and true. Definition is ultra clear. Lines are crisp and clean. Third, the camera is the main reason I purchased this phone. This thing takes great pictures and awesome videos. It snaps pictures fast-no waiting for focusing. Pictures taken indoors and in low light come out much better than any previous smart phone I've ever owned. Videos are steady and the definition and clarity are better than any other smartphone in the market right now. The only thing I have to recommend is if you're big on taking pictures and lots of videos make sure you get at least the 64GB model. I made the mistake of getting the 32GB model which fills up fairly quick. The reason behind this is that pictures and videos take up more data because they're at a much higher resolution than previous phone models, so if your an avid photographer/videographer, make sure to take this fact into account. Overall, the SGS6 is the bomb! I really don't have any complaints about it from a quality/performance standpoint.

I am a fan of Samsung and will probably always buy this brand, and for the most part I love this phone! It takes fantastic pictures, had great sound quality, intuitive user interface and a nice design, and the new rapid charging feature is wonderful, and wireless charging a real plus too! I do NOT like that they followed Apple down the path of putting glass on the back of the phone, but since I put mine in a case anyway, I guess it doesn't really affect me. I also do not like that the alarm no longer allows you to customize the snooze length, and is automatically set to just 5 measly minutes! Every standard snooze in history was for at least 9 minutes. I have yet to look for an app to replace this alarm, but it's on my list of things to do. Also on my list is to go thru and remove and/or disable all the bloatware that comes pre-installed and automatically active on the phone. I don't even know what half of these apps are for or how to use them. I am still a big fan of Samsung and will probably use this phone until it is obsolete like I did the one before it, and then get another Samsung at that time since they just keep improving them!

I've used the iPhone 6, Note 4, Galaxy S5, M8, and G3, and the S6 is by far my favorite. It's fast, thin, light, has a great screen, and beautiful. Pros: Phone color goes from black to a beautiful blue depending on how the light hits it. Sharpest display that there is on a phone. Wireless charging (with both major type supported) and fast charging. Great camera for a phone with OIS. Fingerprint sensor works very well (finally, I'm looking at you Note 4 and S5.) Touchwiz is still there but cut back and streamlined. Processor is very fast. Cons: No microSD card slot. No removable battery (partially countered by the wireless charging and fast charge capabilities, but still a con)

I've had the Galaxy series of phones since my iPhone 4 (S3, S4, S5). I've always liked the idea of a removable back cover so I could expand my storage space and swap out batteries, so this was a big change for me when I moved to the S6. Overall the phone is lightening fast with half as much lag as the S5, which should also be credited to the OS (Lollipop). The camera is amazing - pictures are crystal clear with little to no blur and actually gives the iPhone 6 a run for its money. The glass back has a nice feel but I do hope the next galaxy will move towards aluminum or better. The main reason for my 4/5 stars is the battery life. I use this phone less than I used my S5 and it drains ridiculously quick. I've uninstalled or disabled as many useless apps as possible, and remove running apps but still don't get anywhere near the battery life I got with the S5. The wireless charging is a cool feature but wired charging was never really a problem so I wouldn't recommend spending money on a wireless charging pad (I got mine for free when I pre-ordered through Best Buy). The fingerprint sensor has been spot on for a week now so glad I can finally put that to use. Overall I am happy with my purchase and the direction Samsung is going.

Battery Life Hurts an Otherwise Good Phone

I'm an iPhone user since the first one, so it took a lot to pull me away from Apple. I wanted the best camera and a high-quality phone with a large but not monstrous screen, and the S6 provides that. The TouchWiz software that Samsung slathers on top of Android is not very aesthetically pleasing, but at least they provide a theme store to change the look. And launchers can completely change the look of the phone if you want. Between the Best Buy gift card, the 3 products Samsung threw in as a promotion, and the $100 credit for signing up for Samsung Pay, this phone was essentially free - so factor in the available promotions when looking at the price. Other than the TouchWiz look (which will change soon with Android 6), the things I don't like about the phone are the way it displays whites and the battery life. The AMOLED screen shows blacks as pure black, but whites have a cream or yellow tint. It's especially noticeable when placed next to an LED screen (like the iPhone's). Battery life is simply terrible. Even taking measures like putting it in low power mode and turning off Bluetooth, it often can't make it through the 8 or 9 hours I'm at work. Sitting unused on a nightstand for 6-7 hours while sleeping it can lose 30% or more. Samsung provides a rapid charger which helps; it can almost completely charge in less than an hour. Samsung also threw in a wireless charging base. That makes charging the phone as easy as setting it down. These help, but I'm not used to having to charge a phone so often and pay so much attention to battery management. Be sure to check out Samsung's Galaxy App Store which is separate from the Google Play store. Samsung has free apps there for creating music and editing video that approximate the iPhone's Garageband and iMovie apps.

I love Samsung products and this one is at the top of my list. The camera on this phone takes great photos. It is very fast at opening apps. Love the size. The only downfall is there is no removable battery. I like a phone with a removable battery just in case the battery fails, which has happen to me in the past.

    Couldn't be happier

This phone is exactly what I had expected from Samsung. The screen is beautiful. The colors are nice and saturated, crisp, and has very fine detail. The phone itself is snappy and responds well. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Some things that could improve: As always, Touchwiz has its issues. It is vastly improved over the last iteration, but still could use some work. The finger print reader works about 98% of the time. The other 2% it fails to read my fingers, then defaults to the backup password. I noticed that this doesn't happen quite so often when the power saver is off, so that may have something to do with Touchwiz shutting off the fingerprint scanner to save power. With the power saver on, the battery is amazing. I've gotten about 36 hours out of it with moderate to heavy use throughout the day. Without the power saver on, I average about 11hours with the same usage. When I do get to the bottom of the battery, all I have to do is plug it in for and hour and a half and, with the quick charge feature, it's right back to 100% for another 36 hours of use. I haven't gotten a wireless charger yet, so I can't attest to that just yet. Some may be worried about the lack of a removable battery and no expandable memory, but to be honest, I haven't missed either of those. in fact, it may be less hassle having to deal with those extra parts and the possibility of losing track of either of those or having to carry them around with you everywhere you go. With the S6 all you need is the phone and the charger. Easy. Like I said at the top, this is an excellent device that will hopefully last me the next couple years before I have to upgrade again. I'd recommend getting a case and a screen protector for it, as one drop and you can say goodbye to that beautiful glass on the front or back, or both. Overall, I am very happy with this phone and would recommend it to anyone.

The S6 is sleek and fast. The battery life can take a hit if you are using it often but turning off the google cards usually make it last all day. Amazing camera and beautifully designed, I wont be needing another phone for a while.

Samsung continues to put out a good product and stays competitive with Apple. This phone has a bigger screen. A drawback is there is no availability for additional memory via sd cards.Camera works great video function is a little different from previous cell phones Charger for phone is a fast charger which is a perk. Battery life overall is just OK. I would recommend this product to any one who is looking to upgrade.

I have been a fan of Samsung products for years in fact I've had many Samsung phones. This was an upgrade phone for me. I was amazed on how fast and how sleek the phone is. I was happy to see they relocated they had jack. It is now next to the charging port allowing the user to keep the phone in one position without having cables on both ends of the phone. What I'm not happy with is that it's too much like an iPhone. I'm not happy that it does not have an external memory card slot and the battery is not removable.

It's not that I expected more features or bells & whistles, I expected more quality from Samsung on their 6th flagship phone out. The design and craftsmanship is superb and beautifully made, but the software disappoints. The battery is not what it was hyped up to be either. I constantly get these little glitches when typing and the battery doesn't last me a full day. Usually when I just get a new phone, the battery lasts longer than the previous phone I had (that's probably over 1 1/2 yrs old) and not the same. This might be just my phone, but the screen goes out and the phone shuts down randomly. It hasn't been past 30 days yet best buy nor the Samsung depth in best buy can't do anything. Can you imagine how frustrating and disappointing this is? If it weren't for this, I would be the happiest person on earth. I l I be the phone, but fix the software and battery issues Samsung!

As a self proclaimed tech head, this is the 5th phone I've owned in 4 years. My last phones were all HTC ONE flagships including the One M9 but after spending some time with the S6 it became very clear that I needed to sell the M9 and get the Samsung. The camera, screen and build quality are all the best of the best. My only gripe would be the lack of a removable battery and expandable memory but otherwise it's a near perfect device.

Phone offers a great experience. The feel, build, screen resolution and camera abilities exceeded my expectations. Some default settings drain the batter quicker but that's easy to configure. I got the standard s6 and I don't feel like I'm missing out without the edge. Good solid phone all around.
