• No the battery can not be removed it has antifreeze to cool phone down running threw it so has to be sealed unit.

• No its not. don't buy the Edge. Its a nightmare when it comes to typing. While holding phone you accidentally press on a bunch of keys. I had mine for a day before taking it back
