• I believe the sprint loyalty discount is to partially compensate for higher priced legacy plans that no longer offer steep discounts on phone upgrades. I found I could save more by trading for a better non-legacy plan without the loyalty discount. You may find the same. I don't think BestBuy has anything to do with it.
