“I preordered a galaxy s9 and am thinking about going to the s9+ now. Is it possible? If so how can I upgrade?”

You can still go and cancel before you get phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did this already.. ordered 9 and then realized i wanted 9+.. Went back on Best Buy and cancelled and reordered and all worked well.. Good Luck!!

Please try again later.You can either stop in to your nearest best buy store to cancel your current pre-order and then do the pre-order for the S9+ or you can go online to your my best buy account to locate your order and cancel it from there and then do the pre-order again online. Only thing I don't know is if your using an upgrade through a carrier and when you would cancel the S9 pre-order, if there is a lull in time for it to process in the system before you can pre-order the S9+. Unfortunately there is no way to just switch the the 2 phones in your current pre-order. Also if your planning to pick-up your phone in the store then you will lose your spot in the preorder line when/if you cancel the S9 preorder in favor of the S9+ and you'll be put in a new spot for the S9+ at the end of the line at that time. This may not matter depending where you are from, how many people are preordering the phone, and how many phones your Best Buy store may be getting. Just something to think about, either way if you decide ultimately that the S9+ is what you want I would get your spot in line and not mess around in case there is a high demand and your store doesn't get enough phones for all the preorders for launch day. Which btw if you like to take pictures or anything with the camera, the S9+ is the way to go. The S9 still has a good camera, but the S9+ has some added features thaat isn't on the S9+.
