A:AnswerActually it is a great deal!! I have Sprint as well, and they were able to just add this phone to my existing account and delete the S7 that I was using. No muss, No fuss! Sprint even kept my ability to "upgrade" my phone even though it is just a few days old. I got the discounted price because I activated it in the store. Great Job Best Buy!!
If you are currently with another provider, they may be able to do the same for you. It is certainly worth a look.
A:AnswerDirectly from Samsung, Traditionally, those same unlocked smartphones receive software updates before carriers. In theory, unlocked phones are a win for consumers and a win for the device manufacturer. Thanks
A:AnswerThe (factory) unlocked version of this phone from Best Buy supports cellular network types GSM + CDMA + (4G)LTE. So the hardware is compatible with US Cellular network. I don't know if carrier allows or excludes this device/model on their network/service (check with carrier), or if partial or full compatibility with all of the carrier's services (for that, more research online is needed or contact the carrier (who may not know or even not give correct info, if they don't know or haven't tested); I suggest online phone test, review, or support forums that have actually tested this exact full model of phone under the conditions, may be best info sources).
If allowed on carrier network/service, than may be allowed to support all carrier services; usually most services supported or allowed, except services like Wi-Fi calling, Voicemail, visual voicemail (sometimes you can find special apps or settings that will work).
Most of these compatibility issues are not with the device, but with carrier service allows or if the required software, firmware is available to setup.
