Hi Trails0les, thanks for taking the time to ask us your question about the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. The Galaxy SmartTag2 connects to Samsung devices via Bluetooth within a maximum range of 120 meters under optimal, unobstructed conditions. To update its location on the map, it must be within this range of any passing Samsung device that has the SmartThings Find network enabled.
