No... Consider a Chromebook for the price. Go to BestBuy and look at them. This is not for a student. This is more of a toy..

Please try again later.You may be able to do split-screen Apps, but recording and taking notes would likely be a little awkward, since you'd have to have the camera facing the front of the room, and taking notes vertically. If you just took audio notes, the quality may vary as with any device. But separately, you could do both just fine, and there are lots of productivity and student Apps that you'd find helpful in your college career.
