• The one that I bought was wyfy only. It doesn't use a sim card. Check with the provider to know if you have a unit that will support a sim card.

• As long as you have access to Wifi and some service provider you should be able to access the internet. You shouldn't need a sim card unless you bought your tablet from Verizon, AT&T and they talked you into a 2 year contract "so that your tablet could have access."
