Yes you can sync photos as long as they are jpg gif or apple compatible extension formats. You can download the Windows PPT or use Apple's presentation app(free).

The Chromecast, MIracast, All-Share Cast, etc. tools will all depends on your network speeds (router), and if you've got the newest devices (4k capable ones should be seamless provided you have a fast enough router). MHL as I understand it doesn't work on this device. Any kind of internet based screen share service will lag, and be compressed image quality. All in all the picture you're trying to show WILL show up, it's just how much time it takes, and how smooth it will look (it may not show the process of drawing, just the final picture).
