Some are only Wi-Fi. You must look at the specs and if it has 4G/LTE listed then it has both Wi-Fi and cellular data service. Ours is Wi-Fi only. Bought it for my oldest child. She loved it so much and it was much faster than her Amazon Fire tablet that we bought one for our middle child also.
