• Don't know about Nook shop as I don't use it. For books I use BookGorilla.com, Book Bub and FreeBooksey. Some of the books list Nook for downloading. You could try looking in Play Store. I do like my new 10.1 tablet though. I had an 8" Tab A that I liked, but it got dammaged and I upgraded to the 10:.
