the model I have is just wifi. you'd have to be within range of a router to get internet access. the alternative If you dont have a phone service is to get a hotspot that you can take with you. that of course would require its own service contract and still depends on how close you are to that network tower for a signal.

so in short no the wifi model doesn't have a 4g/5g cellular signal to get internet service on its own.
