A:AnswerYou can go with WiFi only and use your phone hotspot for data or your home wireless. Right now though, the WiFi only is $20 more than the 4G LTE Verizon tablet with a 2 year plan. It is nice to have the LTE equipped tablet as you don’t have to depend on WiFi and/or your phone.
A:AnswerNo, its not a phone. You could instant message people with Facebook instant messenger. Thats pretty quick. You can send and receive email if you have the internet everywhere you go, but you'd have to pay to have that service (the internet) and have your own account with a common carrier. You could Skype with it so thats almost just like a phone and since there is the camera built right in you could see eachother too, whoever it is you're calling if they have a device that shows pictures, but not if they are using an ordinary old regular telephone (like a land line) you'd have to simply open a Skype user name and password which doesn't cost more but you still have to pay to have access to the internet, say in a restaurant (sort of free) or at a friends house using their wifi password to access their wifi network. But no, its not a phone. You can email photos to someones phone and text, and they can email you back. Good luck.
A:AnswerIf you want to use with out internet, tethering is available, I have the wifi issue of the Tab S3 and I tether internet off my verizon phone and the connectivity is on par with wi-fi. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerI assume it will only continue to drop. You can find open box ones for right at $400 right now, 2 weeks after I bought my open box at $460 which stinks but still I assusme it will continue to drop but wouldn't wait to long to pick up.
