I think you are asking "Can I use this tablet with my cellphone providers WiFi?” The answer is NO, this tablet can not be used with cellphone service. You need to buy one at your cellphone company store that is built to use cellphone service, but those models will cost you a lot more. But if you travel a lot, then using a cellphone service model (at a much higher cost) will be worth it to you since you will have ALWAYS ON Internet service no matter where you are. If I read your question incorrectly and meant to ask "Will this tablet work with my cellphone's Wifi if I tether it?” (Assuming you know how to tether devices to your phone) Then the Answer is YES. I have tethered my tablet to my phone using WiFi and it works quite well.

Unless you want to tether it to your cellular device or phone. I purchased this model and returned it because Sheryl the General Manager at the Best Buy location listed below wanted me to wait 10 or more days to put a screen protector on it. Please try again later.If you have AT&T or Verizon, you will not be able to text through the messages app on this tablet without buying an extra line and pay $20 per month. If you go into settings/Advanced settings/Call and text on other devices you can enable it, but when you try to link to the phone through the QR code, your phone will not be able to interpret the QR code. You will have to use a service like Hang-outs if you dont want to pay an additional $20 per month.

You should always have your phone with you anyway and you can just use its hotspot to run the tablet off its wifi. I cant imagine why you would ever have your tablet and not your phone. That would be the only circumstance you need mobile data on a tablet.
