A:AnswerThis attaches with magnets. It stays connected quite well, yet is easy to remove when needed. Maybe a little pricey, but I think it's worth it. Had an aftermarket for my older tablet and lasted maybe 4 months. Not a guarantee, but believe this will last the tablet's lifespan.
A:AnswerIf you're asking about the keyboard cover for the s6 or s6 lite, then no. It's needed for the the cover to stick to the tablet. However, once that wear down or off, it will no longer hold and you'll have to prop it up while in use.
If you're asking about the s7/s7+, the keyboard magnetically attaches to the back, and the keyboard attaches with magnets and pogo pins.
A:AnswerNo and for $230 it should have its own battery for that. It could even probably recharge when you snap it in place for use and could use their wireless charging technology so that could brag about that feature to justify that price. But what do we know. We're only consumers®️ :)
A:AnswerI have had the keyboard for about 45 days. I haven't noticed a huge increase of battery drain during the time I have used the keyboard. I probably use the keyboard a couple of hours daily.
A:AnswerAloha, thank you for taking the time to ask us your question about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+, Tab S7+ Book Cover Keyboard. You are able to store the S Pen in a dedicated holder located on the inside flap that attaches to the tablet, beneath the keyboard section or you place the S Pen in its magnetic groove and then close the cover, securing it for storage and charging. If you have additional questions for us or if you would like any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Support. Thanks for being a steadfast Samsung customer. - Debra
A:AnswerNo. On a long side of the tablet, opposite the side with the power and volume control buttons, the tablet has the necessary electrical and mechanical connections for the keyboard piece. A protective case would cover those necessary interfaces and prevent the keyboard from being connected.
