• There are some bumps that leave a bit of room so the keyboard doesn't touch the screen

• The screen is just covered by the keyboard side of the cover. It's meant to protect the screen when it's being carried in a bag.

• That's a good question I didn't get to in my review. The screen isn't protected from the keyboard when closed. Your best bet with screen protection with this keyboard/cover case is to apply a screen protector.
