It's a samsung watch but samsung has been making smartwatches for a while so it's not the original one. They had the galaxy watch (model from last year) and before that all of the gear watches. This watch is technically the successor to the gear sport watch from a couple years ago. Yes, there is only 1 version of the galaxy active, which connects to phones via Bluetooth. The only options are what color you want.
