Hello Jasmyn, thanks for asking! This watch is water-resistant up to 50 meters per ISO standard 22810:2010. It is not intended for scuba diving but can be used for swimming. Just be sure to avoid excessive, sudden temperature changes and high-velocity activities. Rinse in fresh water/dry after use in sea water or chlorinated water. ^Elizabeth

Yes you can. I have several times now and no issues. You just touch the water droplets icon from the watch prior to swimming and it's good to go.
