yes, you can use voice text, you can use a small keypad on the screen, including the option for a T9 keyboard, and you can even use a cool feature where you use your finger to write the words by drawing it out on the touch screen. You can also create pre-set messages for quick replies and so on. Hope that helps! (Also. Unless you have an LTE version smartwatch it should have to be connected to your phone via Bluetooth or connected remotely through the same wifi network in order to send messages)
