• it just shows an icon on the top of the face. took me a couple of time before I made out that its a icon of a watch, And that you are disconnected from the phone. Sometime just being in the living room and the phone in the bedroom 20 feet away is enough to disconnect.

• Yes it does you will feel the watch vibrate when you get to far away from your phone. I'm sure their are different settings to maybe a sound rather than a vibrate but it does let you know
